Ant Treatments for a Pest-Free Home
Carefully designed with multiple stages to ensure they are effective and long lasting. Here’s how they work:
- Assessment and Initial Treatment: We will conduct a thorough assessment of your home and its surroundings to locate and directly treat ant nests if possible. As part of our service, we also provide suggestions on habitat modification to prevent ants from reestablishing colonies in your yard. If you're interested in implementing these modifications, we can provide a quote for a follow-up visit to complete the work.
- Insecticidal Spray: If deemed necessary by the technician, an insecticidal spray will be applied to specific areas of your home's interior and/or exterior, creating a long lasting barrier that is lethal to crawling insects.
- Gel and Liquid Baits: We strategically place gel and liquid baits near ant trails. Foraging ants transport these back to their colonies, feeding the larvae and the queen, which eventually leads to the colony's demise.
- Follow-Up Treatment: In some instances a follow-up treatment is necessary and will be performed at a reduced rate. This is especially the case for heavy infestations inside structures.
Preventing Winter Infestations
By choosing to treat for ants in and around your home in the summer and fall, you'll also reduce the chance of satellite colonies developing near or inside your home during winter. By doing so, you prevent ants from exploiting your home's warmth, water, and food resources, keeping your home ant-free year-round.
